The "Hose Rex" is a membrane-type aeration hose. By simply covering it with commercially available PVC pipes (including caps and fittings) and securing it with a hose clamp, you can create aeration pipes and aeration devices of any desired length. Thanks to the fine slits provided in the hose (membrane): ■ The bubbles generated during aeration are small, resulting in a high oxygen dissolution efficiency. When replacing a typical aeration device, it is expected to reduce power consumption, energy use, and CO2 emissions by lowering the blower output. ■ It also serves as a backflow prevention measure when the blower is stopped, making it suitable for intermittent operation.
